Early Head Start Teachers

Early Head Start Teachers must hold a minimum of an Infant/Toddler CDA, or be enrolled in a CDA program to be completed within 18 months. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Teachers are responsible to plan for and assess individual and groups of children, support progress towards NYS Early Learning Guidelines and NYS Pre-K Foundation to the Common Core, and promote family engagement. Preschool Assistant Teachers

Assistant teachers work in the classrooms to support the teacher in their facilitation of lesson planning, developmentally appropriate practices, completing screenings and assessments, and engaging with families. Assistant teacher positions are full time, full year positions. Minimum requirements include a Child Development Associate (CDA), Associates Degree, or Teaching Assistant Certification as well as prior experience working with children ages birth to 5 yrs.
